Philadelphia Flyers: A professional National Hockey League team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They are members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the NHL.
The Flyers were the first non-Original Six team to win the Stanley Cup Championships, victorious in 1973-74 and again in 1974-75. The Philadelphia Flyers have the most semifinal/conference final appearances out of all expansion teams (16; winning 8 ) and the most playoff appearances out of all expansion teams (35 out of 43 seasons).
The Flyers play at the Wells Fargo Center since 1996. Their biggest rivals have been the New York Rangers, with whom the Flyers have had many brawls and NHL playoff match-ups over the years; the New Jersey Devils, whom they faced four times in the playoffs since 1995, and with whom they traded the Atlantic Division title every season between 1995 and 2007; and their cross-state rivals the Pittsburgh Penguins.
